Job Objective: Assist the Summer Day Camp Director in planning, developing, organizing, and supervising/directing programs for the Salvation Army Day Camp.
Essential Functions:
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: High School/GED and one (1) year college or adequate work experience
Experience: Prior supervisory and management experience with the ability to train and lead staff and/or volunteers. Experience working with children preferred.
Certifications/Licenses: CPR/First Aid
Skills/Abilities:
Supervisory Responsibility: Summer Day Camp Employees
Physical Requirements: Include vision, hearing, and speaking; actively participating in indoor and outdoor activities with children, standing for long periods of time; walking, running, bending, reaching; lifting up to 25 lbs. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals to perform the essential functions of this job.
Travel: None
Driving: This position requires an employee to drive. Must possess a valid driver's license from the state in which you reside. Must be approved through The Salvation Army Fleet Safety Program to drive either a Salvation Army or personal vehicle on Salvation Army business.
Working Conditions: The work environment for this position includes an office, gym, and outdoor environment with a low to high noise level.
