Essential Function
The Summer Program Aide supports the Program Director by helping to create a caring and safe summer camp environment for children. The Program Aide assists in facilitating activities to improve the overall care and quality of education. They must be able to communicate, listen, and work well with others in a team environment. Additionally, the Summer Program Aide assists staff in implementing a quality school-age summer program and developing positive relationships with children and their parents. The Summer Program Aide also observes and documents children’s interests and progress and promptly communicates this information to the Program Director.
