Overview

Position: Senior Action Center Program Assistant

Department: Carlisle Corps: Senior Action CenteR

Availability of Position:Immediate

Schedule: Part Time, 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM, Monday - Friday

Reporting Relationship: Reports to Senior Action Center Director

Salary Grade: $9.00 per hour; 70 Non-Exempt

Responsibilities

The Senior Action Center Program Assistant assists with the daily operations of the Senior Center including: record keeping on meal attendance, program attendance, and travel participation, submission of weekly food report, keeping the bulletin board and referral and magazine racks up to date and neat, recruiting, training, and recognizing volunteers, and general office duties such as answering the telephone, filing, and computer entry.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements: Job applicant should be knowledgeable about senior needs and willing to learn about community resources for seniors, and exhibit patience with an aging and often ailing population. As a Mandated Reporter, must provide proof of having completed training on recognizing and reporting child abuse meeting the training standards of PA Act 153 of 2014 within 30 days of employment with recurrent training required every five years thereafter. Meets the Child Protection Clearances required by PA Act 153 to include PA Child Abuse History Clearance, PA State Police Criminal Record Check and FBI Criminal Record Check.
