Position: After School Programs and Day Camp Manager Location/Dept.: The Salvation Army Kroc Center (SAKC), Philadelphia, PAAvailability: ImmediateSchedule: Full TimeReporting Relationship: Education DirectorSalary: $55,000- $65,000 12 – Exempt

Responsibilities

Position Description: The After School Programs and Day Camp Manager will effectively operate and manage all aspects of the Homework Zone, Tween Program , Loft Teen Program, Teen Enrichment well as Day Camp; directing all daily activities. This includes, but is not limited to: direct oversight of the programs, staff supervision, financial and quality control, completion of all required reports and forms. Conduct staff meetings and ensure proper and clear communication amongst the staff. Ensure that there is clear communication with parents and confidentiality is maintained at all times. This position will be responsible for planning operational procedures to guarantee a safe and healthy environment for children.

Qualifications

Requirements: At least five years of successful experience in children’s programming, with a focus on administration preferred. At least two seasons of supervisory experience directing similar programs preferred. Current CPR and First Aid Certifications. Serve Safe Certificate and Philadelphia Food Handlers preferred. Organized team player, able to work with other departments. At least 25 years of age. Familiarity with PA Child Center Licensing requirements and American Camping Association Standards preferred. As a Mandated Reporter, must provide proof of having completed training on recognizing and reporting child abuse meeting the training standards of PA Act 153 of 2014 within 30 days of employment with recurrent training required every three years thereafter. Meets the Child Protection Clearances required by PA Act 153 to include PA Child Abuse History Clearance, PA State Police Criminal Record Check and FBI Criminal Record Check. Must have an understanding of and appreciation for the Mission of The Salvation Army.
