Job Objective: The Spiritual Counselor will *spiritually counsel individuals with various disaffiliations including but not limited to addictions, including alcohol, drugs, gambling, chronic homelessness, etc. They complete counseling and spiritual interviews with beneficiaries, conduct counseling sessions, teach program related classes, develop, and track the progress of rehabilitation plans and document progress of the work therapy component. Maintaining relevant and real time case notes in the Service Point database is required, as well as adding all completed services that include but are not limited to spiritual counseling. The typical shift for this position will be 2nd shift (inclusive of evening hours). Some weekends and holidays will be required.

Minimum of a bachelor's degree required in counseling or a related field from an accredited college or university.
Minimum of two years related experience and/or training in addiction, recovery and/or spiritual counseling.
Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from beneficiaries, agencies, or the community. Abilities to effectively present information to administration, beneficiaries, and/or public groups.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of materials furnished in written, oral or schedule form.
Intermediate computer skills in word processing and online data management.
(Education level) plus X years of relevant experience. (Higher level) degree a plus (or preferred).
OR
Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
