The SALT Smokehouse is a family-owned group of hospitality brands rapidly expanding in the Tampa Bay area. The SALT Smokehouse includes community-favorite Station House BBQ, and new restaurant concepts such as The Smokin’ Cuban, a BBQ-Cuban fusion concept featuring unique Cuban sandwich creations, bowls, and salads, and Baby Brisket’s Breakfast Company, a breakfast and brunch concept featuring original menu items that beautifully highlight our signature slow-smoked meats.

We are seeking highly motivated and experienced Catering Servers to join our team. The Catering Server will be responsible for delivering excellent customer service, setting up and maintaining catering stations, serving food and drinks to guests, ensuring the overall success of catered events, and assisting with the delivery and set-up of catering events as needed. The ideal candidate must have strong communication and interpersonal skills, be able to work in a fast-paced environment, and have a passion for delivering exceptional hospitality.

The Catering Server responsibilities vary depending on the event you are assigned to, but roles could include:

• Set up and break down catering stations in a timely and efficient manner.
• Greet and interact with guests in a friendly and professional manner.
• Serve food and beverages to guests, ensuring that presentation and quality of service is up to par.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of event space throughout the event.
• Communicate effectively with event organizers and other team members to ensure the smooth running of events.
• Monitor food and beverage inventory levels and report any discrepancies to the appropriate personnel.
• Follow all safety and sanitation procedures in accordance with local health regulations.
• Assist with the delivery and set-up of catering events as needed, ensuring all items are properly arranged and ready for service.
• Promoting teamwork and collaboration among restaurant staff. Assisting colleagues, coordinating efforts, and maintaining open communication for smooth operations.

Position requirements:

• Food handling certification
• At least 1 year of experience in the hospitality industry, preferably in catering or banquet service
• Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and evenings
• Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds
• Knowledge of food and beverage service techniques and etiquette
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work well in a team environment
• Reliable personal transportation
• Must be able to stand for prolonged periods (up to 4 hours), and lift up to 50 lbs. without difficulty.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness and hygiene.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a diverse team.
