DELIVERY DRIVER

MUST BE ABLE TO PASS A DRUG TEST.

MUST HAVE A CLEAN DRIVING RECORD MEETING THE FOLLOWING CRITERIA:

All drivers must have a valid driver's license.

• Drivers should have 5 years driving experience

• Drivers should have 5 years driving experience with the type of vehicle assigned to him/her

In addition to the above requirements the driver's motor vehicle record must be evaluated.

A driver with the following motor vehicle record would be excluded:

Types of Violations

• 1 or more Serious (Type A) violations in the past 5 years.

• 2 or more Accidents (Type B) violations in the past 3 years.

• 3 or more Non‐Serious violations (Type C) in the past 3 years.

• 1 Accident (Type B) and 2 or more Non‐Serious (Type C) violations in the past 3 years.

(Type A) Serious violations include but are not limited to: DUI; refusing substance abuse testing; homicide or assault with a vehicle; leaving the scene of an accident ‐ hit and run; eluding a police officer, any vehicle related felony; drag racing; reckless driving; speeding (25 mph or greater over the speed limit); license suspension due to moving violations; driving while license suspended; etc.

(Type B) Any accident that appears on the MVR report regardless of fault.

(Type C) Includes all moving violations that are not in Type A (Serious) or Type B (Accident) such as speeding (< 25 mph over speed limit); improper lane change; failure to yield; running red lights or stop signs; careless driving; etc.

(Type D) Includes non‐moving violations such as illegal parking; equipment violations; obstructing traffic; failure to provide license, registration, insurance; etc. These do not currently impact driver acceptability.

MUST HAVE PROVEN EXPERIENCE DRIVING A BOX TRUCK AND MAKING DELIVERIES.

The Rustic Mile furniture store is seeking experienced driver the Houston area. Must be very dependable, have a valid driver's license.

Hours Monday – Saturday 10:00am-6pm

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Responsible for transport of household furniture from origin to destination.
- Loading and unloading furniture for that day's deliveries.

- Responsible for the delivery and set-up of furniture in customer's home.
- Maintain tool kit for the installation, assembly and breakdown of furniture

- Acts as liaison with other staff to meet Company's obligations to the client.
- Responsible for accurate and complete transactions on all paperwork; securing signatures,
- Submit paperwork to supervisor and report any incidents.
- Inspects truck for defects before and after trips and submits report indicating truck condition.
- Responsible for maintaining clean, safe, operating condition of assigned vehicles & equipment. - Adherence to drug-free workplace initiatives.
- Other warehouse duties when not delivering.

QUALIFICATIONS -- Job Requirements

- Experience driving a 26ft box delivery truck is a must.
- CDL not required but good driving record a must (no accidents & tickets past 3 years)

- Physically strong (lift 75 lbs) and active with high energy
- Able to lift, handle and carry furniture quickly and safely for a whole work day

- Good communication with customers and co-workers
- Clean and professional appearance
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
- Must be able to communicate English with Customers
- Positive attitude and good people skills a must.
- Must also be willing to learn

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
