The Royal Group is Hiring a Flexo Folder Gluer Operator - 1st Shift Near North Vernon, IN

Location: The Royal Group – Seymour, IN
The Royal Group (TRG)currently has an exciting opportunity available for an LMC (Flexo Folder Gluer) Operator on 1st Shift in Seymour, IN. As an LMC Operator, you will be responsible for all activities associated with running the machine including setup, operation, cleanup and recommendation of improvements.
1st Shift (Monday – Thursday):
6:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

TRG requires the following skills and abilities:
  • Preferred that employees have prior year work experience in the corrugated industry or other 2-4 years’ work experience.
  • Forklift certification preferred.
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Ability to apply basic calculations; general high school level math and ability to read a tape measure with speed and accuracy.
  • Basic computer competence and working knowledge of machine.
  • The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 70 lbs: Note any objects over 50 lbs will be recommended to be handled by two members
  • Ability to read and understand manuals, instructions, safety rules, quality standards, etc.
  • Ability to apply proper understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
As an Operator at TRG you will:
  • Setup machine accurately in accordance with proper setup techniques.
  • Minimize waste of sheet stock and glue
  • Regular and predictable attendance
  • Monitor quality, including, but not limited to, loose liner, warp, correct size and print
  • Cross train on other machines and switch duties as needed.
  • Turn in maintenance work orders to supervision for needed repairs; be proactive in the maintenance of equipment.
  • Operate the machine to run efficiently and produce quality products
  • Maximize the utilization of equipment by operating the machinery at available capacity and speed
  • Attend all plant safety meetings.
  • Practice safe work habits at all times.
  • Adhere to production schedule; make recommendations for optimizing the schedule to meet cost, quality and service goals.
  • Train and assist Helper/Assistant with job duties at the machine
  • Inspect all dies before and after run to ensure that any necessary repairs are made before the next run
  • Complete all necessary paperwork in an accurate and timely manner
  • Ability to trouble shoot issues on machine to minimize downtime
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures, including safety and maintaining good housekeeping.
  • Ability to work overtime as the job requires.
  • Additional duties as assigned.
