**About the Job**

Responsible for establishing a customer centric, efficient & effective radiology image management center operations that will meet internal and external customer needs with high and consistent quality.

**Essential Duties & Responsibilities including but not limited to:**

1) Supervise the Critical Value workflow and staffing. This is a high priority initiative that requires excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently.

2) Coordinate the work and vacation schedules for the Image Management Center (IMC) with the IMC Manager

4) Assist the manager with employee interviews and orientations.

5) Assist the manager with all employee timecards and absenteeism records.

6) Responsible for delegating assignments to Image Management Assistants to insure a smooth and efficient workflow.

7) Works with the manager to troubleshoot many of the daily problems.

8) Assist the manager in maintaining necessary supplies, always aware of cost containment issues, from departments within Lahey and outside vendors, in order to run an efficient and organized department.

9) Responsible for monitoring staff adherence to established departmental policies and procedures to ensure that quality patient care is attained by all staff, and inform the manager of any issues.

10) Understands and utilizes Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) and EPIC applications as they pertain to IMC operations.

11) Assists the manager with the training of the IMC staff in the operation of CD burning and image digitizing,

12) Manages customer service issues and resolves related problems.

13) Supervises the Radiology Help Desk operations.

14) Generates monthly statistics for urgent findings and critical findings to Radiology Leadership.

15) Communicates and interprets departmental and hospital policies and procedures for customers with clarity and completeness. Facilitates resolution of misunderstandings related to ownership of images.

16) Incorporates Lahey Clinic Guiding Principles, Mission Statement and Goals into daily activities.

17) Complies with all Lahey Clinic Policies.

18) Complies with behavioral expectations of the department and Lahey Clinic

19) Maintains courteous and effective interactions with colleagues and patients.

20) Demonstrates an understanding of the job description, performance expectations, and competency assessment.

21) Demonstrates a commitment toward meeting and exceeding the needs of our customers and consistently adheres to customer service.

22) Participates in departmental and/or interdepartmental quality improvement activities.

23) Participates in and successfully completes Mandatory Education.

24) Performs all other duties as needed or directed to meet the needs of the department.

**Minimum Qualifications:**

Education: High school diploma or equivalent

Licensure, Certification, Registration: None required

Skills, Knowledge & Abilities: Ability to work independently under pressure with a diverse team of employees and customers. Ability to respond to customer requests over long periods on the telephone while monitoring information through the computer system. Ability to identify an emergent situation, formulate solutions and execute such with minimum direction from the manager. Effective interpersonal and communication skills. Excellent customer relation's skills and patient needs orientation. Ability to become familiar with and to understand all radiology processing areas.

Experience: Experience: 3 - 5 years experience in a Radiology Image Management Center. 2 - 3 years supervisory experience or a Bachelor's Degree with compareable experience in the field of healthcare.
