Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our growing dental practice as a Front Office Patient Treatment/Scheduling Coordinator. As a vital member of our team, you will be responsible for efficiently managing the scheduling of patient appointments and ensuring a seamless and positive patient experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Patient Treatment Coordination:

  • Verify insurance for all clinical appointments.
  • Ensures and reviews entire patient account for complete and accurate information.
  • Educate, consult and present patient treatment plans.
  • Ensures and reviews entire patient account
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, including patient information, treatment plans, and billing details

Appointment Scheduling:

  • Schedule and coordinate patient appointments, optimizing the utilization of dental provider schedules.
  • Manage and update the appointment calendar with accuracy and attention to detail.

Patient Communication:

  • Communicate effectively with patients to schedule appointments and provide necessary information.
  • Confirm upcoming appointments and follow up on missed appointments as necessary.

Customer Service:

  • Provide exceptional customer service, addressing patient inquiries and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Collaborate with other team members to enhance the overall patient experience.

Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with dental providers and support staff to optimize the scheduling process and ensure efficient use of resources.

Problem Resolution:

  • Identify and address scheduling conflicts or issues promptly and effectively.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a dental or medical office setting preferred.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in practice management (Dentrix Ascend) software and basic computer applications.
  • Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures is a plus.
  • Ability to maintain a positive and professional demeanor in a fast-paced environment.

Experience:

  • Previous experience in a dental office setting preferred.
  • Familiarity with medical scheduling software such Dentrix/Dentrix Ascend is a plus.
  • Strong administrative skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
