The Residences at Hamilton Lakes is Hiring a Leasing associate Near Itasca, IL

The Leasing Associate is responsible for marketing, leasing, and pre-leasing apartments.

The Leasing Manager is responsible for overseeing and delivering property occupancy, leasing and retention goals.

The Leasing Associate makes a commitment to align themselves with JVM’s vision, to be an industry leader and the preferred choice of residents, associates, and investors, recognized for the service we deliver, opportunities we create, and the values by which we live.

JOB REPONSIBILITIES

  • Conducts all aspects of leasing, including touring, following up, and regular outreach.
  • Schedules tour appointments over the phone, via email, or through texting.
  • Possesses the ability to identify and highlight the community and apartment home benefits for prospective residents.
  • Build and maintain relationship with prospective and current residents to maintain retention and satisfaction.
  • Deliver professional and timely communication with prospects, residents, vendors, peers, and managers.
  • Participate in weekly reporting and monitoring of competitor’s leasing, occupancy, and pricing trends.
  • Serve as the property and market knowledge expert.
  • Point of contact for all property marketing-related items.
  • Provide daily update on execution of achieving sales goals.
  • Assist with regular audits of website and ILS sites to ensure accuracy.
  • Review all rental applications, lease, and renewal paperwork to confirm accuracy.
  • Conduct reviews of all applications and supporting documentation.
  • Provide future resident paperwork, including welcome home letter, lease paperwork, and all applicable addenda.
  • Perform daily inspections of the property, common areas, model units and vacant units.
  • Promote resident satisfaction and retention by providing timely responses to questions, requests, and complaints.
  • Ensure all documentation is recorded per company policy.
  • Conduct all business in accordance with and knowledge of pertinent local, state, and federal safety laws, procedures, guidelines, including those of the EPA, OSHA, ADA, Fair Housing, Americans with Disabilities Act, Fair Credit Reporting Act, etc.

Education and Experience :

  • HS Diploma or GED.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to think strategically, solve problems and be proactive in business planning.
  • Strong work ethic with commitment to high quality results.
  • Proficient with Microsoft products and Property Management Software.

Work Hours : Minimum 36 hours per week.

Certifications / Licenses : As required per state law.

ADA Physical Requirements of the Position : Must be able to sit for prolonged periods, climb stairs, walk community grounds, and lift 15 pounds.
