Clinical Informatics Summer Project Aide - Commack

Required Qualifications (as evidenced by an attached resume):
Working toward Bachelor’s degree in Informatics, Computer Science or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working in an office setting. Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and WTC Policies and Procedures.

Brief Description of Duties:
The successful incumbent must be responsible, detail-oriented, and able to work independently and in a team setting. The Clinical Informatics Summer Project Aide will support the Data and Health Informatics Manager on the following tasks

Duties:

  • Informatics Project Management tasks.
    • Meet with staff to gather information on existing workflows and change charters.
    • Document detailed project plans and technological or procedural solutions.
  • Coordinate data-related tasks.
    • Under the direction of and training by the Data and Health Informatics Manager, establish and run queries to provide high-quality datasets.
    • Assist Informatics Staff in troubleshooting EMR issues.
  • Project quality and standards.
    • Under the direction of the Data and Health Informatics Manager, assist with quality checks of data and database user interfaces.
  • Support the use of the Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system.
  • Assist Informatics Staff in troubleshooting EMR issues.
  • Other duties as assigned.
