WAREHOUSE CLOTHING SORTER (Part Time, Weekend Only)
Schedule : Saturday, Sunday (7:00 AM - 03:30 PM)
Payrate : $ 15.30 per hour
The Rescue Mission is currently seeking part time sorters for our warehouse. This position is for preparing items for sale by assisting in all aspects of preparing donated merchandise for store deliveries, salvage, recycling or waste. Warehouse Sorters will perform sorting, hanging and ticketing sellable clothing donations, as well as sorting bin items (ties, scarves, hats, gloves, accessories) and linens.
Education & Experience Requirements:
High school diploma or GED certificate preferred.
Prior experience in a production warehouse or retail clothing setting preferred
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Needed to Perform Effectively in this Position:
Interest in working with clothing and knowledge of clothing preferred
Willingness to continue to learn new skills
Ability to work in a changing environment – flexible to new assignments
Passion for the mission and vision for the organization
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Ability to stand for 8-hour shifts
Ability to lift up to 30lbs
Additional Requirements:
Must be at least 18 years of age
Job requires lifting over 30 pounds and bending
Standing for long hours
Cleaning is required
