Summary

We are seeking qualified, passionate, committed early childhood professionals for assistant positions who are driven to make a difference in the lives of the young children and families we serve. The successful candidates are responsible for supporting the lead teacher in creating an emergent curriculum, meeting children's basic needs, and building relationships with families. Success in this position can lead to a co-teacher position (where there are two leads in one classroom).

Duties

Assist lead teacher in the creation and implementation of emergent curriculum
Be a peer model for best practice in early childhood education
Partner with children and guide their learning experiences
Build relationships with families to foster a strong home-school partnership
Strong focus on ensuring the basic needs of children are met (diapers, potty training, behavioral guidance..etc)
Follow all school policies and DHS Licensing rules/regulations



Requirements

Team player with strong, fair-minded leadership
Willing to learn about the Reggio approach and work with implementing an emergent curriculum
Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
Must clear full background check
Must pass a health screening
