Redeemer’s Place Worship Leader

We are looking for a MALE worship leader, who can transition into a full time pastor of worship position with time and discipleship.

Purpose of the Position: The main purpose of the roll is to be the primary Worship Leader before the congregation. This position will coordinate their work with the Pastors, any Worship Team Members, and the Worship Service Technology Team (Audio, Video, and Pro-Presenter). Christ honoring and God glorifying congregational worship of both old and new, contemporary, music is a very important to the Pastors and Elders. The Worship Leader is to ensure that all music selected and played is Scripturally and doctrinally sound, God glorifying and Christ honoring, solicits the congregational participation enhancing their worship of our Lord. Our desire is that our congregational worship is done with a standard of excellence that is honoring to the Lord.

Position Requirements::

• This position is part-time currently (10-12 hours per week). No benefits are included. Pay will be determined after an initial interview. All pay will be paid monthly with federal and social security taxes withheld. This position may grow into a full-time role as the church continues to grow.
• The Worship Leader must be a vocalist as well as be able to play the keyboard and/or acoustical guitar. Leading worship at The Redeemer’s Place at least once will be a requirement of the interview process.
• The Worship Leader must have a good working knowledge of basic sound equipment and setup requirements. The Worship Leader will be required to help set up sound and do sound check for each worship service.
• The Worship Leader and all Worship Team Members must become members of The Redeemer’s Place and sign the church membership covenant. A formal background check of the Worship Leader and any Worship Team Members is a requirement. The Redeemer’s Place reserves the right to require drug screening as well.
• The Worship Leader is to lead every Sunday Worship Service of the year plus up to four special services a year (e.g. Christmas Eve, Good Friday, Pray walk, Worship Night, etc.). The required time commitment for each Sunday is from 8:30am to 1:30pm. Time off will be four Sunday’s a year (see #3 below). Special Services for Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, or Good Friday can not be taken off.
• Worship service music (songs, lyrics, key) must be planned, rehearsed, and provided each week, even when the Worship Leader is unavailable to attend. In the absence of the Worship Leader, worship service music should be planned, rehearsed, with a substitute worship leader identified by the Worship Leader. The Pastors must be notified who will be the substitute Worship Leader with his/her contact information.
• The worship music schedule should include an extended 30-day plan which minimally forecasts the songs, lyrics, any singers or the music support (keys, drums, guitars, tracks, etc.). This schedule is to be reviewed with the Pastors, entire Worship Team and Worship Service Technology Team every 30 days for awareness of the plan. The schedule should assume three songs a week plus a reprise of one of the songs to close the service.
• The Worship Leader must operate in close coordination with the Worship Service Technology Team who are responsible for updating ProPresenter and managing the presentation of the lyrics of the songs to the congregation. In order to do this, the weekly worship schedule and lyrics should be finalized no later than Tuesday of each week with no changes made to the songs or the lyric sequence, barring an unforeseen change of staffing that would prevent the original plan from being conducted.

The Redeemer’s Place is a new, small but growing, church plant that is beginning its fifth year and currently meets in The Plantation Community Center located at 5555 Palm Tree Road In Plantation, Florida 33317. We are affiliated with The Aspire Network (formerly Transformation Ministries) and The Florida Baptist Convention.
