The Recruiting Team is Hiring a Mechanic/Tool Repair Near Phoenix, AZ

Position Summary:The primary function of the mechanic/tool repair is to ensures a vehicle operates at maximum efficiency. The mechanic must have knowledge of mechanics, computerized automotive systems, and the mechanical profiles and specifications of a variety of automobile/equipment makes, models and years. He/she also needs an understanding of computerized repair and testing systems, and must have exceptional eye-hand coordination, physical stamina and skill with tools. The mechanic applies all of their knowledge and talent in several broad areas of responsibility – troubleshooting, repair, maintenance and service to operating staff members. Duties & Responsibilities:Inspecting belts, hoses, and mechanical systems to be sure that all are operating properly.Responsible for lubrication, light service, electrical, pm service.Perform and validate equipment and tool inspections to ensure safe operations and handling.Make sure all heavy-duty repairs are to be referred to the designated Warranty Repair Company, if not repairable in house.Keep Records of Repairs performed and report to Manager.Work on a variety of makes, models & equipment.Complete work and repair orders in a timely fashion.Inspect, lubricate, repair, and service pneumatic and electric tools. Basic Qualifications:High school diploma or GED requiredMinimum of 2 years of mechanic experience with diesel equipment, heavy construction equipment or specialty lines equipment (large-scale generators, pumps, HVAC or Oil & Gas equipment) strongly preferredStrong Microsoft office skillsAbility to handle physical workload Core Competencies:Strive to do the right thing by displaying trust and integrity.Embody the principles of servant leadership, even in a non-people management role, by putting the needs of others first, valuing diverse perspectives by sincerely appreciating and considering others’ opinions and ideas and demonstrating a positive and humble attitude.Demonstrated ability to work independently and on a team; ability to lead, execute and/or delegate as needed, while also collaborating with others to get the job done.Establish and maintain effective working relationships at every level of the organization; invest in building relationships with the Field Operations and Field Support Center team members.Help champion an inclusive working environment; empower others to bring their full selves to the workplace; celebrate, welcome, and value the different backgrounds and experiences that make up our workforce; recognize that all team members are valued, regardless of race, background, tenure, or title.Ability to self-manage, show initiative, be proactive, and drive results.Communicate professionally, both verbally and in writing to coworkers and customers.Knowledge of troubleshooting. Physical Requirements:Must be able to position self to constantly stand, bend, turn, squat and use hands for 80% of the time.Occasionally, will and work indoors/outdoors when required by the job.Must have sufficient strength in arms to effectively use hand tools like hammers and wrenches.Frequently moves mechanical equipment weighing over 50 pounds or more at times.Must be able to communicate with team and management and be able to exchange accurate information in these situations. Required Cognitive Skills:Must be able to problem solve and prioritize tasks.Must be able to manage stress depending on tasks.Must be able to multitask.Must be able to receive and analyze information.Must be able to quickly communicate solutions if problems occur.Must be able to demonstrate a high degree of sound judgement. Benefits & Perks:Medical, Dental, Vision, Disability & Life InsuranceWellness Benefits401(k) Retirement PlanEmployee Stock Purchase ProgramPaid Holidays & Vacation DaysProfessional Growth OpportunitiesDevelopment & Training Programs This job description is subject to change at any time. EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER Launch your career with a national building materials distributor and discover opportunities for growth and advancement.
