Job Summary
Aspire Afterschool Therapeutic Program is seeking to hire an experienced Behavioral Interventionist for our children's program in Cincinnati, OH. The Behavioral Interventionist is responsible for supporting children/adolescence with behavior challenges. The Interventionist provides individual or small group instruction to clients who are struggling behaviorally. This position is also responsible for monitoring, reporting, and communicating client progress and performance.
Essential Job Functions
Provides high quality instruction to individual clients and small groups
Administers one-to-one intensive behavior intervention to clients
Provides assistance with de-escalating client behaviors and reintegrating clients back into society
Collaborates with staff, administration, and families to help identify best practices for individual and small groups of clients
Uses identified research-based interventions focuses specifically on individual client needs
Maintains data-based documentation of continuous monitoring of client performance and progress
Communicates with administration and families regarding client progress
Assists with identifying clients for placement in intervention groups
Participates in meetings with staff, administration, and families to discuss client placement and progress
Provides diagnostic assessments for clients as needed
Provides input for program development
Supports implementation of assessment tools and data management systems
Ancillary Job Functions
Attends the appropriate trainings to improve knowledge and skills
Provides staff development opportunities
Performs other related duties as assigned
Requirements
Trained in Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI)
Proven experience working in mental health
Demonstrates an understanding and use of equitable and culturally responsive practices
Preferred Qualifications
Licensed as a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate, Social Worker, Marriage and Family Therapist, or Psychological Associate.
