Job Summary
Bartenders at The Quarters are responsible for taking and fulfilling all customer orders, implementing our beverage program, and maintaining a safe and pleasant atmosphere for our clientele. The position schedule includes substantial evening and weekend hours and occasional holidays. Must be able to work in high stress situations, be comfortable working in an establishment that serves alcohol and has entertainment. 3 years experience bartending in fast-paced environments is preferred. The position reports to the Bar Manager.
Responsibilities include:
Customer Service: Interacting with patrons; educating patrons about The Quarters’ selection of arcade games, food, and drink; insuring applicable laws related to alcohol service are enforced; taking food & drink orders; collecting cash, processing credit cards, and reconciling cash drawers; monitoring lighting and music; cleaning & restocking bar & dining area; and maintaining calm under pressure while working cooperatively with other staff to provide patrons a consistently enjoyable experience.
Menu Development: Providing input in developing a diverse menu of beverages, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic.
Beverage Preparation: Preparing and serving a wide range of beverages, including but not limited to cocktails, draft beers, lemonades, iced teas, and sodas.
Attitude: Must be engaged and enthusiastic about working in a dynamic workplace; The Quarters services a wide range of people from families on the bike path to the weekend arcade crowd and you must be comfortable working with all types of people. Must have experience and comfort interacting with the public.
Other: Other responsibilities as assigned.
