The QTI Group is Hiring a Refrigeration Maintenance Tech - Night Shift Near Beaver, WI
Summary: The QTI Group is recruiting for a Maintenance Refrigeration Technician for a national private label food manufacturer located in Beaver Dam, WI. Qualified candidate for this Direct Hire position will have at least one year of industrial maintenance experience.
Hours are Monday to Friday 5:00pm to 3:00am
Pay is up to $32 per hour, based on experience Plus $1.50 Shift differential
Responsibilities:
Monitors and evaluates equipment logs and reports for steam, refrigeration, water, compressed air and HVAC systems. Looks to correct chronic or repetitive problems by evaluating the log or reports
Engaged in the operation and maintenance of the powerhouse equipment
Maintains records of all equipment and recommends improvements to inventory and preventive maintenance systems based on this information
Coordinates efforts with outside contractors to successfully execute maintenance contracts
Procures material’s necessary for the maintenance of equipment in his area of responsibility
Ensure new equipment meets requirements of OSHA, sanitation, quality, maintenance, and production.
Plans all work for power house equipment
Oversees and approves all repairs
Maintains fire and ammonia leak vigilance
Handles all matters pertaining to the powerhouse in a safe manner
Participates in the PSM Program
Keeps Plant Engineering manager, Maintenance Mgr., Manufacturing Mgr. and Safety Mgr. advised of operating conditions and problems on a timely manner
Procurement of Energy
Maintain Compliance of Federal, State and Local EPA regulations
Provide a safe and reliable, efficient operation
Promotes Safe working habits
Responsible for interacting with all plant depts.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 to 5 years’ experience in Ammonia Refrigeration or related field.
Background that includes, but not limited to boilers, air compressor equipment, understanding of plant utilities systems, equipment installation and startups
Experience working with vendors and contractors.
Previous experience in the food industry and knowledge of GMP’s and SQF audits
