Summary:
The QTI Group is recruiting for a Maintenance Refrigeration Technician for a national private label food manufacturer located in Beaver Dam, WI. Qualified candidate for this Direct Hire position will have at least one year of industrial maintenance experience.

• Hours are Monday to Friday 5:00pm to 3:00am
• Pay is up to $32 per hour, based on experience Plus $1.50 Shift differential

Responsibilities:

• Monitors and evaluates equipment logs and reports for steam, refrigeration, water, compressed air and HVAC systems. Looks to correct chronic or repetitive problems by evaluating the log or reports
• Engaged in the operation and maintenance of the powerhouse equipment
• Maintains records of all equipment and recommends improvements to inventory and preventive maintenance systems based on this information
• Coordinates efforts with outside contractors to successfully execute maintenance contracts
• Procures material’s necessary for the maintenance of equipment in his area of responsibility
• Ensure new equipment meets requirements of OSHA, sanitation, quality, maintenance, and production.
• Plans all work for power house equipment
• Oversees and approves all repairs
• Maintains fire and ammonia leak vigilance
• Handles all matters pertaining to the powerhouse in a safe manner
• Participates in the PSM Program
• Keeps Plant Engineering manager, Maintenance Mgr., Manufacturing Mgr. and Safety Mgr. advised of operating conditions and problems on a timely manner
• Procurement of Energy
• Maintain Compliance of Federal, State and Local EPA regulations
• Provide a safe and reliable, efficient operation
• Promotes Safe working habits
• Responsible for interacting with all plant depts.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 to 5 years’ experience in Ammonia Refrigeration or related field.
• Background that includes, but not limited to boilers, air compressor equipment, understanding of plant utilities systems, equipment installation and startups
• Experience working with vendors and contractors.
• Previous experience in the food industry and knowledge of GMP’s and SQF audits
