The Pursuit is Hiring a Kid’s Ministry Pastor Near Snohomish, WA
Status: Full-time, Salaried.

Workdays: Sunday-Thursday.
Job Description:The Kid’s Pastor leads all aspects of children’s ministry, from nursery through elementary ages. Responsibilities include weekly children’s services concurrent with PURSUIT’s regular worship services, and other events. Leadership responsibilities include overall strategizing to develop a successful Kid’s program and implementing operational details. The objective is to facilitate a welcoming, engaging, safe environment to partner with families in engaging their children in a distinctively Christian environment of learning and spiritual growth.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage systems to recruit, train, and engage leaders and volunteer workers for Children’s Ministries.
- Provide an age-specific curriculum for all Sunday kid’s experiences to facilitate learning and encourage spiritual growth.
- Coordinate all aspects of kid’s ministry including curriculum, supplies, snacks, and classrooms.
- Recruit and train all volunteers for the Kid’s program including, Nursery, Toddler, Pre-k, Elementary, and Check-In.
- Provide clear, frequent communication with parents.
- Provide ongoing training and resources to volunteers.
- Manage childcare as needed for Pursuit events including, Pursuit Nights, special services, conferences, and any other events as needed.
- Consistently be safety minded with all aspects of the ministry.
- Manage PCO workflows, forms, and check-ins to track volunteers and families.
- Ensure all policies and procedures are followed to ensure the safety of children.
- Develop and manage a strategy for reaching and assimilating new children and families.
- Facilitate the recruitment and training of leaders and volunteers of the Youth Ministry, at least 3 new volunteers per month.
- All other tasks as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Be committed to the local church and to its leadership.
- Model a passionate pursuit of the presence of God.
- Be well-educated in the Word of God and able to communicate with clarity and relevance.
- Commit to pray, fast, worship, and lead as a part of the pastoral team.
- Adhere to the moral and spiritual qualifications for pastoral eldership as outlined in Titus 1:5-9, 1 Tim. 3:1-7, 1 Peter 5:1-4.
- Be able to pass both local, federal background checks and complete MinistrySafe training.
- Be flexible to both take on new tasks and delegate old tasks as the church develops.
- Follow all PURSUIT policies and procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 5 years of professional-level skills and experience with people, and ministry leadership.
- Strong organizational and training skills.
- Entrepreneurial abilities, from big-picture strategy to operational details.
- Ability to lead volunteer teams, recruit, develop, and inspire people, and set clear expectations and accountability.
