The Reservationist is the first impression of the exceptional service and hospitality that our guests receive. They are experts at assisting, guiding, and accommodating all guest needs. They communicate professionally and with urgency to both internal and external audiences.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
GUESTS
Handle all guest interactions with the highest level of hospitality and professionalism. Use vast knowledge of our concepts to create excitement by offering suggestions and opportunities for dining accommodations. Collecting information to build guest profiles and ensure the best experience overall.
Provide additional information to our guests and go above and beyond to assist them. Share cab and hotel recommendations, local attractions, local events and invitations to our other businesses – anything to help provide our guests with a complete, hospitable experience. Keep in mind our guest’s experience begins the moment we answer the phone or an email.
RESERVATIONS
Have a thorough knowledge of the Tock reservation platform. Assist guests in making, changing and canceling reservations.
Provide insights on adjustments that need to be made, assist with making those adjustments and coordinating communication between the host and management teams to ensure everyone is informed. Be able to anticipate when changes need to be made.
Create a steady pace of seatings. Able to create and adjust floor plans as needed. Find ways to accommodate all guests while optimizing the dining room.
EVENTS
Respond event inquiries, and coordinate the communication with the guest to events coordinator and the management/chef team. Be clear and concise in communicating the details discussed, keeping an up-to-date and accurate account of what’s expected. A deep understanding of what can be offered to guests and how we can accommodate requests.
COORDINATION
Obtain and retain ever-changing knowledge of The Pulpo Group businesses. Contribute to a positive work environment by exhibiting a can-do attitude, eagerness to solve problems, and forward thinking. Bring an engaging, personal and genuine form of hospitality to our guests and staff members.
Must have strong communication skills, verbal and non-verbal. Demonstrate ability to multitask and handle a large volume of incoming inquiries, calls, and needs and prioritizing appropriately. Work with purpose and a sense of urgency.
Monitor reservations, private dining requests, graduation inquiries, and team email accounts. Answering calls and emails when necessary, knowing the priority and what is urgent. Accomplish administrative tasks and projects as requested by The Company.
