The Principle Group is Hiring a Medical Coder Near Fayetteville, NC

Job Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Coding Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical billing, coding, and terminology. As a Coding Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate coding and billing processes within our healthcare facility.

Duties:

- Assign appropriate medical codes to diagnoses and procedures
- Review patient medical records for accuracy and completeness
- Ensure compliance with all relevant coding guidelines and regulations
- Communicate with healthcare providers to clarify documentation
- Work closely with the billing department to resolve any coding-related issues
- Stay up-to-date on changes in coding regulations and guidelines

Experience:

- Proficiency in medical billing and coding procedures
- Knowledge of medical terminology and coding systems (e.g., ICD-10, ICD-9)
- Familiarity with medical records systems and electronic health records
- Experience in medical collection processes is a plus
- Previous work in a medical office setting is preferred
