DEEC certification preferred but not required.

The individual must be dedicated to helping young children. Our staff uses positive language with children. The assistant must approach each child in a kind and nurturing way.

The candidate will have a variety of tasks that are to be attended to on a daily basis. These tasks include but are not limited to:

• Diapering toddlers. Candidate must be able to lift 25 lbs.
• Assist teachers at key times of day.
• Supports children and teachers
• Keep supplies organized.
• Help children become independent
• Maintains a good working relationship with other staff members
• Sanitize toys
• Assist in drop off and pick up time
• Keep library system in good order
• Stock classrooms with paper goods
• Help teachers switch out theme related materials
• Models using positive language and kindness
• Helps keep classrooms organized
• Helps supervise children

This is a part time position. The hours are 9:00-2:30 Monday/Wednesday and Thursday through June. We follow the Peabody Public School calendar.

Summer camp hours run July and August Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday 9:00-2:00

Pay: From $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 27 per week
