Audio Video Sales Manager – The Events Company

Summary of Responsibilities

This position will be responsible selling all equipment, labor and services related to Audio Visual services within The Post Oak Hotel for The Events Company.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities

  • Being a great representative of The Events Company and The Post Oak Hotel culture.
  • Speaking with customers, teammates and hoteliers on a positive, friendly and enthusiastic manner.
  • Making sales calls, attending BEO, site and other planning meetings to close business and ensure that each event is executed to the highest standards.
  • Sets examples for staff in areas of personal character, commitment, organizational, customer service and leadership skills.
  • Provide accurate sales quotes in a timely manner to both hotel and client.
  • Maintain high level of customer service with staff to ensure high levels of client satisfaction.
  • Document activities daily based on hotel or event site protocol.
  • Seeking ways to improve the operation to include services and financial results
  • Be a role model and forge excellent relationships with staff and clients.
  • Help co-workers with any questions regarding system design, product use, and product compatibility
  • Ensure continued customer satisfaction, build and maintain customer relationships, and follow up with company resources to make sure after sales support is received
  • Strong team player and who can also work independently
  • Is a self-starter and self-motivator who does not wait for a task to be assigned
  • Not afraid to take ownership and drives issues to closure
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed
  • Present sales reports and realistic forecasts
  • Work with product team to find and solve issues with incoming or preexisting inventory
  • Meets assigned targets for profitable sales volume and strategic objectives in assigned accounts and new customer acquisitions
  • Operates as the lead point of contact for any and all matters specific to assigned client base
  • Work with product team to find and solve issues with incoming or preexisting inventory
  • Coordinate with import team to keep popular offline products in stock.
  • Upsell products to customers to provide them with better and higher value systems
  • Identify emerging markets and market shifts while being fully aware of new products and competition status

Preferred Qualifications

Successful candidates possess the following attributes:

  • Successful experience consulting and selling Audio / Visual solutions
  • Proven track record of managing the customer commitment, negotiation, and closing of the sales process
  • Demonstrated level of success in the development of client relationships
  • Enjoy working with customers and external audiences
  • Strong Knowledge of Audio, Video, Intelligent Lighting, Rigging, Live Streaming, Zoom/ Teams Meeting and Scenic.
  • Microsoft Excel, Word and Powerpoint
  • 3 Years AV Sales Experience preferably in Hotels
  • Bilingual in Spanish a plus

Qualifications

  • HS Diploma
  • 3 years of experience in AV Sales preferably in Hotels
  • Job Costing experience
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task and work independently with limited supervision.
  • Must have a strong sense of urgency to meet deadlines.
  • Available days, nights, weekends and holiday.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record for the past 3 (three) years.
