What you can expect:

  • Purpose-driven, sometimes hard and rewarding work
  • Monday - Friday between 7:45 am and 4:45 pm schedule
  • 40-hour guarantee (pay stability) for client cancellations
  • One-on-one morning and afternoon sessions providing individualized ABA therapy to each assigned client (ages 2-6). Behavior therapists are typically assigned 2 clients.
  • Deliver early intervention therapy in a center-based, supportive environment
  • Carry out individualized plans for each child by implementing programs and behavior intervention plans designed by your BCBA Supervisor
  • Ensure the safety of all clients by following established protocols and procedures, including safety regulations
  • Maintain data tracking systems and session documentation as part of the client’s medical insurance record
  • Be a part of a passionate team of behavior specialists and continue to expand knowledge through training, mentorship, and staff development meetings

  • Center-based full-time position - No Nights or Weekends!
  • Monday - Friday weekly schedule from 8;00 am - 4;30 pm Competitive Pay ($17/hr.- $23/hr. based on experience)

We set you up for Success!

To ensure you are well prepared for your role and equipped with the necessary skills, we have outlined the mandatory training and certification requirements that you are required to complete as part of your employment.

  • Successfully complete 40 hours of online RBT Training within 14 days from your start date. This training will provide you with the essential knowledge and skills for your role.
  • Following completion of the training, you must pass the RBT Certification Exam within 35 days from your start date. This certification is a crucial step in ensuring your competence in delivering quality therapy to the children we serve.

As a condition of your employment with The Place for Children with Autism, it is imperative that you actively participate in all required training and successfully obtain and maintain the RBT Certification. Failure to do so may result in the risk of termination. We understand the importance of professional development, and we are committed to supporting you throughout this process.

Requirements

What we need from you:

  • A strong desire to work with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder and their families
  • A compassionate attitude and sense of dedication to “be present” every day while working with both clients and your fellow team members
  • Be reliable and dependable–your clients and your team members will be counting on you.
  • A willingness to learn and open to constructive feedback for development
  • Because we value the safety of our clients and their families, we do require a background check.

What we require from you:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Ability to lift 20 pounds.
  • Bending and squatting for up to an hour per day.
  • Kids are fast, so the ability to follow a child without restrictions throughout the center (sometimes at a rapid pace) is needed.
