The Pittsfield Cooperative Bank is Hiring a Float Teller Near Pittsfield, MA
We are seeking a Float Teller with the desire and flexibility to work as needed between our five branch locations throughout the Berkshires; Pittsfield, Dalton and Great Barrington to process all transactions accurately and efficiently in accordance with established policies and procedures. The ideal candidate enjoys interacting with the public, is comfortable handling large cash transactions, and selling bank products/services. This position is the “frontline” of our bank and will play a fundamental role in achieving our customer satisfaction and revenue growth objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct multiple routine transactions within established guidelines (cash checks, accept deposits and loan payments, process withdrawals etc.)
- Assess customer needs and introduce new bank products and services
- Make sales referrals, cross-sell products and services
- Go the “extra mile” to build trusted relationships, customer loyalty and satisfaction
- Comply with regulatory requirements
- Manage risk in every transaction and detect fraudulent transactions to prevent losses
- Resolve customers’ issues and provide relevant information
- Travel to branch locations to cover as requested by management
Skills
- Proven working experience in banking or financial services preferred
- Basic PC knowledge and familiarity with electronic equipment (e.g. calculators, cash drawers and adding machines)
- Strong communication and time management skills
- Customer satisfaction-oriented
- Attention to detail and mathematical skills
- Excellent sales skills
- Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent
This position requires manual dexterity, the ability to lift and carry up to 15 pounds on occasion. This position also requires standing or bending as necessary.
