Job Summary:
We are seeking a mature, personable, detail-oriented Counter Person to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in retail, grocery stores, or restaurants and possess excellent customer service skills.
Responsibilities:
- Greet customers and assist them with their purchases
- Operate cash registers and handle cash transactions accurately
- Maintain a clean and organized counter area
- Provide product information and recommendations to customers
- Assist in restocking inventory and maintaining stock levels, make coffee, some food prep
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations
- Help maintain a positive and professional work environment
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a retail, grocery store, or restaurant setting is preferred
- Proficiency in basic math for cash handling and transactions
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently
- Knowledge of sales techniques to promote products effectively
- Familiarity with food safety standards, food allergen safety, and regulations is a plus
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Enthusiastic about our mission and values of utilizing organic, local and heirloom ingredients
