The Pictsweet Company is growing! We are currently seeking a Transportation Procurement Manager to join our logistics team at the corporate headquarters in Bells, TN. This role will be responsible for managing the freight spend portion of all purchases to ensure the best method with lowest total cost obtained.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for managing all freight and transportation related RFPs. 
• Review all methods and modes of transportation to ensure Pictsweet is proactively reducing freight cost (ie: Rail, LTL, Intermodal, OTR Truck, Shuttles, etc).
• Work directly with Managers and other associates that impact the Company’s freight spend.
• Responsible for carrier cost and tracking service performance and review internally and externally.
• Manage Freight Dispatcher to ensure freight payables are completed accurately, timely, and within agreed terms.
• Handle other assignments and projects assigned by the VP of Logistics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field. 
• Minimum of one year of relevant manufacturing business experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
• Aptitude for numbers and data driven decision making. 
• Excellent communication skills.
