POSITION SUMMARY

The first job of the Painter is to bring the job in on budget, with a happy customer who will recommend our company and you as a Painter. Participate in all activities related to the accomplishment of specific jobs. We expect you to treat our customers like royalty and respect your fellow employees at all times. We expect honesty, to own up to any mistakes made, and correct them as soon as possible.

PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES

• Perform all duties in the job description, follow safety rules and common sense safe-working practices.
• Document project progress daily with pictures of the work site and any issues.
• Learn, understand and apply The Picky Painter's procedures and processes to every project and let leadership know of any feedback to help projects run smoothly.
• Attention to detail by noticing issues on a project and notiying team members so they are fixed within 24 hours.

CAPABILITIES / KEY COMPETENCIES

• Work safely and use common sense safe-working practices.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with co-workers.
• Keeping a clean and neat appearance to represent the company in a professional manner
• Must be able to learn and teach the proper set-up, clean-up, and use of basic paint sprayers.
• Maintain cooperative working relationships & demonstrate sensitivity to, and respect for a diverse population

EXPERIENCE

• Must be proficient in surface prep & basic patching techniques.
• Must be able to mask, tape, and site protect areas before beginning work.
• Must be proficient in brushing, rolling, and basic spraying. Able to paint windows, doors, soffits, fascia, cabinets, and shutters without supervision in a competent, timely manner with the highest degree of craftsmanship and following The Picky Painters Standards.
• Must be able to remove wallpaper, backing, and glue without damaging walls excessively.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Perform heavy physical labor & work in inclement weather, hot, cold
• Climb ladders and scaffolding (must not be afraid of heights)
• Move and utilize up to a 24' ladder alone for the entire work shift when required.
• Carry a full 5-gallon container of paint or equivalent weight up and downstairs
• Wear and use respirators when required for particulates
• Bend and reach while preparing and painting surface for the entire work shift
