The PHOENIX Center is Hiring a Transporter Near Ironton, OH

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Transportation Specialist to join our team. As a Transportation Specialist, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing transportation operations to ensure efficient and timely delivery of goods. You will work closely with various teams to coordinate shipments, analyze data, and implement strategies to improve transportation processes.

Duties:
- Coordinate transportation activities, including scheduling and tracking shipments
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure smooth transportation operations
- Analyze transportation data to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize transportation processes and reduce costs
- Monitor carrier performance and negotiate contracts to ensure quality service at competitive rates
- Ensure compliance with transportation regulations and company policies
- Utilize transportation management systems (TMS) such as Oracle Transportation Management to streamline operations
- Collaborate with demand planning teams to forecast transportation needs
- Provide support in managing third-party logistics (3PL) relationships
- Assist in the implementation of warehouse management systems (WMS) for seamless integration with transportation operations

Requirements:

- Proven experience in transportation management, preferably in a fast-paced environment
- Strong knowledge of logistics and supply chain principles
- Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Tableau for analyzing transportation data
- Experience with SQL for data extraction and analysis
- Familiarity with freight forwarding processes and 3PL operations
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to make sound decisions under pressure
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams
