We are seeking an experienced and strategic Purchasing Manager to lead procurement. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the purchasing process, including vendor management, negotiations, and strategic sourcing. The Purchasing Department Manager will play a crucial role in optimizing costs, ensuring timely procurement of goods and services, and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers.

1. Strategic Sourcing:
   • Develop and implement strategic sourcing plans to ensure cost-effectiveness and high-quality procurement.
   • Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, negotiate contracts, and establish long-term relationships with key vendors.
   • Stay informed about market trends, industry best practices, and technological advancements to drive continuous improvement in the sourcing process.
2. Cost Optimization:
   • Analyze current procurement processes to identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
   • Negotiate favorable terms and conditions with suppliers to optimize pricing, terms, and payment terms.
   • Implement cost-control measures and strategies to achieve budgetary goals.
3. Compliance and Risk Management:
   • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies in the procurement process.
   • Mitigate risks associated with procurement activities and develop contingency plans to address potential disruptions.
   • Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to review and negotiate contracts.
4. Vendor Relationship Management:
   • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure reliable and timely delivery of goods and services.
   • Resolve supplier-related issues and conflicts in a timely and efficient manner.
   • Periodically evaluate vendor performance and implement improvement plans as needed.
5. Budget Management:
   • Develop and manage the departmental budget, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
   • Monitor and report on key performance indicators related to purchasing activities.
   • Provide regular reports to senior management on departmental performance and initiatives.

• Proven experience (5 years) in a senior purchasing or procurement role.
• Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
• In-depth knowledge of procurement best practices, market trends, and industry regulations.
• Excellent leadership and team management abilities.

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in using procurement software and tools.
