Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Receptionist to join our team. As a Veterinary Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for our clients and their beloved pets. Your role will involve providing exceptional customer service, scheduling appointments, and assisting with various administrative tasks. Duties:
- Greet clients and their pets with a warm and friendly demeanor
- Schedule appointments and manage the appointment calendar
- Answer phone calls, emails, and other inquiries in a professional manner
- Obtain and update client information in our database
- Assist with check-in and check-out procedures
- Collect payments for services rendered
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area
- Assist veterinary staff with animal handling and restraint when necessary
- Provide basic information on pet care, grooming, and training
Requirements:
- Previous experience working in a veterinary clinic or animal-related field is preferred
- Strong knowledge of animal care, including basic medical terminology
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle difficult situations with empathy and professionalism
- Proficient computer skills, including experience with veterinary software systems
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record keeping
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
