What is the role of the Registered Dietitian?

We are seeking a Registered Dietitian who will support facility leadership in establishing and maintaining efficient and effective Nutritional Service systems and in providing food service to residents in compliance with federal, state and local requirements.

Essential functions of a Registered Dietitian include, but are not limited to:

  • Recommending dietary and food service policies and procedures to facility leadership
  • Collaborating with facility leadership in organizing, developing and directing nutritional care of residents.
  • Assisting facility leadership with food monitoring systems
  • Assisting with menu development
  • Assisting in assessing and developing resident dietary plans in compliance with physician orders.
  • Auditing to ensure dietary care plans are followed
  • Assisting in training dietary team members
  • Working closely with clinical and therapy partners to ensure all care plans are met and executed, meeting all needs of the individual resident.
  • Assisting in improving quality of life of the residents through targeted nutritional support.

What do you need?

  • You must be a Registered Dietitian
  • 2-3 years of experience in a long term care environment
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • You must be comfortable jumping right in and handling tasks as needed
  • Must be able to travel to various facilities in Central Michigan

Pay: $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
