JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS :

The Department of Geography in the College of Earth and Mineral Sciences is seeking a part-time Cartographer to work on custom mapping projects in the GeoGraphics Laboratory.

The successful candidate will :

• Assist with custom cartographic design projects for internal university and external community clients
• Identify and prepare spatial data for cartographic projects
• Meet with cartography clients to define project scope and to iteratively design cartographic products
• Other administrative tasks as assigned / needed to support cartographic design and research in the GeoGraphics Lab.

Experience with Geographic Information Systems (GIS) software (e.g. ArcGIS Pro) and Graphic Design software (e.g. Adobe Illustrator) is desired.
