State Funded Insurance Clerk Job Description
The Pediatric Center, LLC
Job Summary
Primary role will be to post payments, work denials and manage all state funded insurance claims. Daily close out is done on a weekly rotation between all business office staff. You will cross train for all other roles in the business office in case other staff is out. The other roles consist of a charge entry clerk and a commercial insurance clerk.
Responsibilities
- Check claims daily for front end rejections, if any print and correct
- Post payments
- Work denials
- Mail secondary claims as needed
- Work monthly reports of outstanding claims for state funded Insurance
- Do close out on a weekly rotation
- Take calls regarding balances and payments
- Process credit card payments
- Work self-pay balance reports
- Balance work daily
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
