In short, the Market Leader leads Direct to Consumer retail, inventory accuracy, branded presentation, and exceptional customer experience at every location. This leader is also responsible for consistently providing a fresh, food safe experience. This role will be traveling within the market ~80% of the time during the months of approximately May-September. In the off-season, approximately October- April, travel is only ~15% and the role can be fully remote (work from home).

The role of a Market Leader can provide you with the:

• Knowledge of customer service fundamentals and experience building and managing a customer first culture on your team
• Knowledge of retail business fundamentals including: sales trends, inventory management, customer shopping patterns, promotional strategies and upselling
• Experience planning and executing in-season and off-season workload to support business priorities and managing a team to deliver on sales goals
• Knowledge of the competition; leveraging insights to drive business objectives
• Experience managing a team of hourly team members and leaders; creating business specific strategies and goals
• Skills in recruiting, selecting and talent management of hourly team members and leaders
• Proven track record of cultivating and maintaining strong business connections with key stakeholders, clients, and industry partners, demonstrating a proactive approach in fostering long-term relationships.

As a Market Leader, no two days are ever the same, but a typical day will most likely include the following responsibilities:

• Lead and create a service culture that prioritizes the customer service experience, model, train, and coach expectations to deliver the peach truck service standard
• Drive total market sales, understand your role in sales growth and how your team contributes to and impact total company profitability
• Manage a team that executes logistics, point of sale, replenishment, inventory accuracy, presentation, promotional signing processes for all market locations
• Manage a team of “slingers” in operations, accuracy and efficiency
• Create a customer-obsessed culture and lead your team to prioritize the customer experience and deliver on market sales goals
• Develop a strategy and utilize your planning tools to complete all scheduled workload ensuring territory responsibilities are consistently met
• Create a scheduling plan in partnership with your team leaders based off of monthly and weekly business workload and customer traffic
• Conduct regular check-ins with your team to ensure completion of tasks and workload
• Manage all DTC locations within assigned territory, review all reporting to identify gaps and develop a plan to resolve
• Oversee and complete workload planning including site-selection, routing, and business viability
• Know and assess the competition; leverage customer insights and feedback to drive the business.
• Plan, manage and follow-up on organizational and operational change (Our business is seasonal and relies on mother nature cooperating, it’s important to be flexible and make the best business decisions.)
• Anticipate and identify changes in unique market trends
• Develop and coach your Team Leaders to elevate the skills and expertise of the team
• Establish a culture of accountability through clear expectations and performance management
• Anticipate staffing needs, talent plan and recruit – both long and short term
• Demonstrate a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion through continuous development, modeling inclusive behaviors, and proactively managing bias
• Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety and compliance; lead team to work in the same way and hold others accountable to this commitment
• Lead and create a safety advocacy culture by understanding how safety impacts your role and that of your team, identifying and correcting hazards, and holding team accountable to working in a safe manner to benefit themselves and others
• Address TPT location needs (emergency, regulatory visits, etc.)
• Proficient in delivering concise, impactful presentations on business accomplishments and potential opportunities to immediate supervisors on a daily basis, while effectively communicating pertinent information to the senior leadership team as needed.

• Ability to travel In Season (May-September) up to 75% of time. Travel includes the ability to visit all local territory locations and occasionally adjacent markets as needed.
• Willing to work remotely M-F during off season (October-April)

• Ability to access all areas of a DTC retail location to respond to customer or team member issues
• Interpret instructions, reports and information
• Scan, handle and move merchandise efficiently and safely, including frequently lifting or moving merchandise up to 40 pounds
• Accurately handle POS operations
• Flexible work schedules (e.g., in season weekends and holidays as necessary) (May-September) and regular attendance necessary
