The Pavilion at Ocean Point is Hiring a Medical Biller Near San Diego, CA

Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Medical Biller to join our team. The Medical Biller will be responsible for accurately coding and billing medical claims, ensuring timely reimbursement from insurance companies, and maintaining patient billing records. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of medical billing procedures, coding systems, and insurance guidelines. Responsibilities: - Review and verify accuracy of patient demographic and insurance information - Assign appropriate medical codes (ICD-10, ICD-9, CPT) to diagnoses and procedures - Prepare and submit electronic or paper claims to insurance companies - Follow up on unpaid or denied claims and resubmit as necessary - Process payments from insurance companies and patients - Maintain accurate records of all billing activities - Answer patient inquiries regarding billing issues or insurance coverage - Collaborate with medical staff to ensure proper documentation for billing purposes - Stay updated on changes in coding regulations and insurance requirements Requirements: - High school diploma or equivalent; certification in medical billing preferred - Proven experience as a Medical Biller or similar role - Knowledge of medical terminology, coding systems (ICD-10, ICD-9), and billing procedures - Familiarity with medical collections processes and regulations - Proficient in using electronic medical record (EMR) systems and billing software - Strong attention to detail and accuracy - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively Skills: - Medical billing - Medical office experience - Coding (ICD-10, ICD-9) - Medical collection processes - Medical records management - Knowledge of medical terminology - Proficiency in medical coding systems (DRG, CPT) If you are a dedicated individual with a strong background in medical billing, we encourage you to apply for this position.
