The Parent Child Center of Tulsa is Hiring a Grant Writer Near Tulsa, OK

Description

JOB SUMMARY:

The Grant Writer is responsible for researching prospective sources of funding for The Parent Child Center and for writing grants and proposals that garner results. The Grant Writer also assists the Development Director with other fundraising activities as requested.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Researching

  • Researches companies, foundations, government, and individuals to increase sources of funding.
  • Collects statistics needed for grant writing.
  • Works with program managers when writing grants for specific programs.

Grant Writing

  • Writes proposals and grants to individuals, companies, foundations, and the government to secure funding for The Parent Child Center.
  • Tracks grants requested and obtained, and provides monthly reports.
  • Works with President and CEO and Development Director in planning for specific proposals/grants.
  • Compiles and updates information including statistics, case studies, and agency history. Maintains all grant files.
  • Coordinates/facilitates monthly grant review meetings with President and CEO, Finance Director, Clinical Director, Development Director, and program managers as needed.

Other

  • Consistently follows The Parent Child Center of Tulsa polices, procedures and program protocol.
  • Demonstrates the agency values of compassion, respect, learning, adaptability and achievement.
  • Assists in any manner for the efficient operation of the agency or program.
  • All other duties as assigned by the Director of Development.

Requirements

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in English or a related field. 
  • Excellent writing and communication skills.
  • At least two years of experience with computers and experience with a word processing program.
  • Culturally sensitive to clients.
  • Supportive of volunteer roles in the agency.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • At least one year’s experience in grant writing, and demonstrated success in obtaining program funding through grants.
  • Experience with developing grant budgets.
  • Experience with excel spreadsheets.
