Admission Coordinator:

Admission Coordinator Position Overview:

Under the Director of Admission & Marketing, the Admission Coordinator tracks daily census, completes admission paperwork for incoming patients and confirms insurance benefits and authorizations. In addition, the Admission Coordinator will conduct facility tours for family members, develop relationships with physicians, hospital discharge planners, and other outside resources. Maintaining logs/reports, arranging room changes and providing information to those seeking placement for a loved one are essential to the role and to the success of the department.

Position Qualifications:

• Possess a high positive energy with a polished and professional appearance

• Basic computer knowledge including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint • Great interpersonal skills • Excellent customer service skills

• Great organizational skills with ability to be flexible

• MUST be detail-oriented, able to handle a fast-paced environment, have critical thinking skills and a pro at time management

• Ability to work with a multi-disciplinary team

** Must have reliable transportation**

Experience:

• 1-2 year(s): in a skilled-nursing facility is strongly preferred. A medical office or hospital setting can be considered for the right person
