Job description

General Function:

The general function of a medication aide employee is to ensure that a resident's medication is properly ordered, properly dispensed, and kept organized. You will also have to deal with doctors to make sure that medication prescriptions are updated and match the current order on each residents MAR. You may be asked to escort and assist a resident with getting to and from meals and recreational activities.

Specific Duties:

- Ordering and dispensing medication.
- Must make sure any changes to a resident's medication are updated on the computer and on the residents MAR.
Must keep medications organized.
- Working with doctors.
- Reporting any problems with residents refusing medications to you supervisior and Nurse.
- Residents medication must be signed for as it is given.
- You must make sure those residents who are taking their own medications have the proper medication according to their most recent 3122.
- Must make sure that controlled substance medication are kept locked in the control cabinet and are counted every shift.
- Must report to work on time.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
• Weekends as needed

• Day Shift (Preferred)
• Night Shift (Preferred)

Ability to Relocate:

• Brooklyn, NY 11235: Relocate before starting work (Preferred)
