Position Summary:
The Sales Agent primarily focuses on Trucking Insurance. They are responsible for calling and consulting potential clients that are in need of an insurance policy.

Mathematical Requirements:
This role involves mathematical thinking. Basic subtraction, multiplication, and division skills to the general degree are required. The ability to negotiate dollar amounts and factor the value of given amounts are required.
Reasoning Ability Requirements:
Professional-level, reasoning abilities are necessary to process complex information, delegate duties, and prioritize deadlines.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to sit for long periods of time, view a computer monitor, and type (up to 8 hours a day).
Employment/Contractor Status:
Exempt: Exempt employees are defined legally as working at least 30 hours per week, however; full time positions at The Paladin Group require at least 40 hours. Occasionally, time over 40 hours may be necessary in order to meet the requirements of the position. They are considered full time, paid an annual salary, and are eligible for all employee benefits.
1099: Independent Contractor shall have an independent contractor status and not be an employee for any purposes, including, but not limited to, the application of the Federal Insurance Contribution Act, the Social Security Act, the Federal Unemployment Tax Act, the provisions of the Internal Revenue Code, the State Revenue and Taxation Code relating to income tax withholding at the source of income, the Workers' Compensation Insurance Code, 401(k) and other benefit payments and third-party liability claims. Independent Contractor shall retain sole and absolute discretion in the manner and means of carrying out their activities and responsibilities under their Independent Contractor Agreement. The Independent Contractor understands that these services may be temporary in nature and that he will be performing the services as an Independent Contractor and will be paid a gross wage and/or commissions on sales, as agreed by the parties herein. Independent Contractor agrees and understands the status of Independent Contractor, no benefits are applicable to this relationship.
Schedule Expectations:
The Paladin Group’s normal hours of operation are from Monday through Friday, from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm.
Salary: This position requires a minimum of 40 hours worked within a week and the schedule may be flexible as determined in the employee handbook. As long as performance expectations are met, salaried employees may flex his or her schedule, subject to preapproval of one’s direct supervisor.
