The Overlook is Hiring a Concierge Near Charlton, MA

Job Description Position Title : Concierge, Independent Living FLSA STATUS : Non-Exempt REPORTS TO : Manager of Concierge and Resident Health Services SUPERVISES : None DEPARTMENT : Independent Living Services COMPANY : MHS / The Overlook Charlton Campus This is a Full-Time Friday through Monday position POSITION SUMMARY : The Concierge will be responsible for answering incoming calls, greeting visitors, responding to resident's requests, monitoring residents' emergency response system, and performing other support duties as directed.

PRINCIPLE DUTIES / ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS : Answer multiline telephone system and direct calls to the appropriate location.

Greet visitors in a polite and professional manner and check in guests at the front desk. Assist residents with any issues and / or problems and direct them to the appropriate departments for resolution.

Give directions and information to guests, visitors, vendors and others as needed. Assist with clerical and / or other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Keep work areas neat and clean throughout the day, and shut down office equipment before leaving. Maintain strict confidentiality of all resident information at all times.

Responsible for the distribution of all incoming mail into the Independent Living Facility for employees and residents. Must possess excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to effectively communicate at all levels.

Basic computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office Word, Excel, email and the Internet. Knowledge of multiline telephone systems required, familiarity with common office equipment and practices, should have a cheerful personality, a genuine desire to help people, and the ability to work well with others.

Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members and other guests, visitors and the general public.

Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Manager of Concierge and Resident Health Services. QUALIFICATIONS : High school diploma or equivalent - required Experience in a customer service, customer facing role of at least 2 years preferred Desire to work in a facility geared toward Independent Senior Living Possess excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to effectively communicate at all levels Knowledge of multiline telephone systems required, familiarity with common office equipment and practices, should have a cheerful personality, a genuine desire to help people, and the ability to work well with others.

The organization embraces its rich history and heritage, owning and managing 218 Independent Living Apartment Homes and Cottages, 28 Enhanced Care Private Suites, a 14- Suite Assisted Living Memory Care neighborhood, 27-unit Short-term Post-Acute Rehabilitation, 112-bed Long Term Care Skilled Nursing, as well as Home Health, Hospice, Palliative Care, Private Duty and Care Management divisions.

The Overlook and its 3 subsidiaries are based in Charlton, MA, with satellite home health and hospice offices across the state.
