Position Overview:

The Outpost, LLC is seeking a highly skilled Solutions Architect / Software Engineer. This role is designed for an individual with a strong background in engineering, data science, and cyber security, offering an opportunity to lead in the development of advanced products and support federal clients with project execution. This is a unique opportunity for an experienced professional to lead the product vision, roadmap, and feature definition while ensuring the timely delivery of project milestones.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Architectural Development:

• Utilize expertise in Python, cloud architectures, and large language models to architect and develop complex software solutions.
• Lead the decision-making process for system architectures, ensuring scalability, security, and efficiency.

Innovative Problem-Solving:

• Leverage a background in data science and statistical analysis to tackle unique problems, applying modern analytical tools and methodologies to drive project success.

Client Engagement and Support:

• Act as a primary technical liaison to federal clients, ensuring the successful translation of mission requirements into technical specifications and overseeing project implementations.

Leadership in Technology:

• Guide cross-discipline teams in the modernization of data preparation, data pipelining, and MLOps processes.

Digital Transformation Initiatives:

• Spearhead digital transformation efforts, including cloud migration strategies, to optimize operational efficiency and technological capabilities within The Outpost and for federal clients.

Qualifications:

• Advanced degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Demonstrated proficiency in Python required, familiarity with large language models preferred.
• Cloud solutions architecture experience (AWS or GCP preferred).
• Frontend Development: Expertise in designing and implementing interfaces with JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js).
• Backend Development: Proficiency in developing backend services, APIs, and databases (e.g., Node.js, Python, SQL/NoSQL).
• Version Control: Mastery of Git for code management and collaboration.
• Containerization with Docker and orchestration tools (e.g., Kubernetes) for scalable architecture.
• Proven leadership experience in technology and cybersecurity within high-stakes environments.

• Exceptional collaboration and communication skills.
