The Outlook at Windhaven is currently seeking exceptional candidates for our Director of Assisted Living.

As a part of Forefront Living, The Outlook at Windhaven is a brand-new community under construction and opening this summer, The Outlook at Windhaven has at its core a single mission: to be a thriving, engaging community where seniors can enjoy every moment of every day.

• Oversees quality assurance, financial management, occupancy requirements, customer service, and healthcare programs of assisted living and memory care
• Develops, plans, and implements objectives, goals, standards, programs, and services within the organization for the residents and employees
• Plans care, program services, and activities for residents, ensuring their emotional health, physical health, and safety needs are met
• Maintains high occupancy through conjunction with marketing strategies and by ensuring adequate staffing and the continuity and consistency in the delivery and quality of services
• Ensures compliance with all applicable government laws and regulations and in accordance with residents needs and with communitys policies, procedures, and guidelines
• Creates and fosters relationships within the community
• Develops and maintains the operating budget, and ensures the department meets financial goals within established budgetary guidelines
• Coordinates all aspects of resident care
• Other duties as assigned

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other supervisory responsibilities may be assigned.

• Assigns, trains, schedules or oversees work of others
• Plans, staffs, evaluates and directs the work of employees of a work unit
• Delegates authority to carry out work of a unit to subordinate supervisors or managers

REQUIREMENTS include the following

• Bachelors degree in healthcare or related field required
• Assisted Living Certification required
• Minimum 5 years experience in assisted living or skilled nursing
• Minimum 3 years' experience demonstrated supervisory and managerial skills
• Compassion and understanding of the progressive nature of Alzheimer's dementia
• Leadership ability and excellent communication skills
• Knowledge of assisted living regulations
• Ability to organize work flow, respond to emergencies and note detail
• Ability to maintain a positive, stable disposition in performing work in association with staff, residents and families
• Ability to maintain a high level of performance in an environment of frequent demands and changes
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
