Hybrid MA/X-ray Tech Job Description

1. Fulfills patient care responsibilities as assigned which may include checking schedules and organizing patient flow; accompanying patients to exam/procedure room; assisting patients as needed with walking, transfers, dressing, preparing for exam, collecting patient history; performing screenings per provider guidelines; assisting physicians with various procedures; charting; relaying instructions to patients/families; answering calls and providing pertinent information.

2. Produce high quality radiographs with a minimum number of repeats. Position patients and adjust equipment/technique for taking x-rays following established procedures. Operate the PACS computer system. Maintains x-ray rooms. Stocks necessary medical and radiologic supplies. Maintains educational requirements for ARRT renewal.

3. Obtaining lab/x-ray reports, hospital notes, referral information, etc.; completing forms/requisitions as needed; Managing charts to ensure information completed and filed appropriately. Medication refills per providers requests.

4. Fulfills environmental responsibilities as assigned which may include setting up instruments and equipment according to department protocol; cleaning exam/procedure rooms, instruments, and equipment between patient visits to maintain infection control; ordering, sorting, and storing supplies; restocking exam/procedure rooms.

5 . Fulfills organizational responsibilities as assigned which may include respecting/promoting patient rights; responding appropriately to emergency codes; sharing problems relating to patients and/or staff with immediate supervisors quickly.

- Must be ARRT Certified

- BLS/CPR Certified

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.00 - $29.00 per hour
