The Purpose of Your Role

We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to join our finance team. The Accounting Manager will manage month-end close process, and maintain accurate payroll and accounting records. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

• Payroll compliance and legislation knowledge
• Technical proficiency in designated payroll system
• Mathematical aptitude and numeracy
• Understanding of compensation and wage structures

Responsibilities

• Manage the company's financial accounts, payroll, budgets, cash receipts and financial assets
• Reconcile payroll accounts and resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with HR to ensure accurate employee data and maintain employee payroll records.
• Manager the accounting team.
• Provide support for audits.
• Develop and implement processes and procedures to improve payroll and accounting efficiency and accuracy.
• Assist with other accounting and finance functions as needed.
• Adheres to all company policies and procedures
• Other duties as assigned

The Skills and Expertise You Have

• Technical proficiency in designated accounting systems
• Understanding of accounting principles in accordance with GAAP
• Mathematical aptitude and numeracy
• Understanding of compensation and wage structures
• Ability to maintain highest level of confidentiality

Preferred Qualifications

• Supervisory experience
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in payroll/accounting
• Strong understanding of payroll accounting principles and practices
• Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and other computer software-Google Suite
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
