The National Conference Center is one of the largest and most comprehensive conference centers and learning and development campuses in the nation with 917 guestrooms and 270,000 square feet of conference and event space. The National is seeking a full-time, salaried Housekeeping Manager who will be required to oversee all housekeeping duties within a particular facility or on a particular team.

ESSENTIAL TASKS:  

•Supervises housekeeping and laundry staff as duties are being performed.

•Stocks and maintains supply rooms.

•Receives, processes, and handles guest complaints regarding housekeeping services.

•Ensures that rooms are kept clean and free from hazards.

•Ensures that all common areas are kept clean and free from hazards.

•Organizes all staff during the day and hosts daily meetings with housekeeping staff.

•Provides training to new housekeeping staff.

•Assists guests with questions and basic requests.

•Responsible for room inspections.

•Always provides a high level of customer service; remains professional.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Education:High School Degree or Equivalent

Experience:

•Must possess strong communication skills and interpersonal skills to effectively deal with customers and team.

•Bilingual preferred (Spanish)

•Must be able to follow verbal and written directions.

•Must be able to lift to 50 pounds or more.

•Must be able to work with minimal supervision.

•Proven housekeeping and hospitality experience.

•Must have flexibility of work schedule to include long days and weekends.

•The duties of this position will be conducted in a professional environment.
