Boutique Orange County business and intellectual property law firm has an immediate opening for a full-time legal secretary in its litigation department. Some essential duties include: maintaining litigation calendar and case files; filing in Federal, State, and TTAB courts; client contact; assist and support attorneys and paralegals as needed; draft, revise, and edit letters and documents; schedule depositions, mediations, etc.; monitor court deadlines, appearance dates, pleadings, and filing requirements; maintain filing system as well as digital archive systems.
Experience is required, preferably in business and/or intellectual property litigation in both State and Federal courts. Solid knowledge of litigation support and case management, experience organizing case files , discovery, pleading preparation, and familiarity with California and Federal rules of civil procedure are essential.
