Piano Instructor
Pay $20-30/ hour Part Time 4-12 hours/week
We are looking for a playful, enthusiastic, confident human to join our teaching team. If you love music, play, and working with young children (and their grownups) we want to hear from you! A formal musical background is not required (ie degree), but strong piano proficiency is.
You will lead group classes of 4-9 year olds (and sometimes their grownups) in singing, movement, games, and instrumental play. Our classes and curriculum are designed to be enriching for both the child and accompanying adult.
This position begins with a paid training period where you will learn our method and style so our clients receive the same quality experience every time they walk through our doors. Candidate enthusiasm, coachability, strong interpersonal skills, and dependability will play a larger role in our search for the right candidate than musical experience.
We are hiring for up to 3 half days per week, approximately 3-5 hours per day. Our class blocks are 2:00pm - 7:30pm. We have weekdays and may soon offer weekend openings; in order to be considered for the position you must have long term availability Tuesdays from 2:00 pm - 7:30 pm AND Wednesdays or Thursdays from 2:00pm - 7:30pm. This position will primarily fill a piano teaching role. Musik & Play and Ukulele group teaching roles are also available if desired. There is opportunity for this position to grow into more hours.
