Primary purpose: The SUZUKI VIOLIN Instructor advances and supports the mission of The Music Settlement through the following actions:
Classification: Part Time (under 30 hours per week)
Reports to: Chair, Center for Music and the Department Head, Suzuki.
Essential duties and responsibilities:
The SUZUKI VIOLIN Instructor will be evaluated upon the following criteria:
Educational requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in music (or related field) required, Master’s preferred. Registered Suzuki training through Book 4 required, higher preferred.
Qualifications: Previous experience in private and group class teaching is desired. Salary will be based upon level of education and teaching experience.
The Suzuki Violin Instructor must personally adhere to all established personnel policies and practices of The Music Settlement. As a member of the administrative staff, this individual must encourage a respectful, healthy, and productive work environment for all employees, volunteers, customers, and clients.
